1) |
Erina Corner |
2 levels of car park
over the retail level. The feature of this precinct was the intricate roof
over the mall, including large cantilevers at the mall entry. Hamper
trusses along the malls were designed to support cantilevered awnings as
well as the shopfronts. |
|
2) |
Parallel Mall and Boardwalk
Extension and Multideck Car park |
The existing curved
roof of the Boardwalk was replicated in the Parallel Mall. Link nodes
between the main walls consisted of intricate and complicated steel
framing, exacerbated because the link nodes straddled the new and existing
steel framing.
The retail area
extended over a four-lane road, requiring the post-tensioned floors to
span across the roads. The structure was designed to resist bus impact
loads and the analysis of the floor slabs including checking for floor
vibration |
|
3) |
Multideck Car park |
35,000 sq. metres of
post-tensioned floor slabs over 4 levels. Each level is linked via a
curved high-speed exit ramp. The screens around the car park provided the
required aesthetics plus capable of resisting the car impact. |
|
4) |
Home and Lifestyle |
Three-storey
building having two retail levels over an on-ground car park and service
docks. The retail space was designed for large area/single use tenants
necessitating economical, clear span steel roof structures The facades
incorporated architectural embellishments to the shopfronts.
A large landscape
tub, was incorporated in the centre of the open public space. The area was
designed to support a feature fountain water and mature trees in soil
depths up to 1200mm. |
|
5) |
Town Square |
Two-storey building
encapsulating open community and public space. The steel framed building
incorporated various architectural forms along the building facades and
shopfronts, requiring the structural steelwork to perform structurally
while forming the finishes to the buildings. |

"We were extremely
satisfied with the performance of SCP Consulting as our structural
engineer on the Erina Fair Expansion project. The final designs reflected
the quantities provided to BLL during the preliminary cost planning stage,
they were pro-active in co-ordinating the building elements and delivered
documentation according to program."
