CLIENT: Burwood RSL Club
PROJECT VALUE: $20 million
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:The new building provided a 2 storey car-park for
170 cars and 3 levels of Club facilities including an auditorium,
restaurants, function rooms and bar areas.
special features:The
22m diameter domed roof to the auditorium was designed in structural
steel and erected in Stage 1 to allow early completion of the floors
below. Temporary steel
columns were provided to support the dome until the Stage 2 floor was
completed.
scp involvement:
Design and documentation of post tensioned floor slabs, concrete columns
and lift walls and steel roofing.
Construction services.

EXTENSIONS TO
DUBBO RSL MEMORIAL CLUB
CLIENT:
Dubbo RSL Club
PROJECT VALUE: $16 MILLION
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Extension and refurbishment to the existing Club
premises, built originally in 1946. The extension was to create a new
vibrant image for the Club, and to be recognized as one of the finest
Clubs in the State.
special features:
The structure design required simple, uncomplicated framing while
still achieving the aesthetics required by the architect. Existing club
operations continued during the construction.

High sound insulation criteria had to be met
to prevent noise associated by chanting disturbing neighbours.

capacity of 1500 people, and be capable of conversion into future office
space. Allowance in design for future expansion including a 3500 seat
auditorium
