Structural steel box trusses hung from facade create a billboard to showcase Fox Studios latest attractions.

Design and documentation of all structural elements
Extensive coordination with architectural consultants produced a structure with high quality aesthetic appeal.

Parramatta Bus / Ferry Interchange

PROJECT:- parramatta ferry / bus interchange
END CLIENT: department of transport, sydney ferries
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Parramatta Transport Interchange is a facility for ferry and bus commuters, replacing the existing waiting area and canopy with a larger facility adjacent to the river foreshore.
special features:

Canopy structure to cater for 200 passengers waiting and 200 passengers alighting from the ferry.
Structure to withstand 1 in 100 year floods which results in water levels immersing 65% of the structure.
The architecture of the wharf is based on a maritime theme which is reflected in the use of the canopy as a tensile structure.

Abbotsford Wharf

PROJECT VALUE: $1.7 million
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: New wharf and roadwork’s to service Sydney Ferries and Rivercat Passengers.
Special Features:
Precast pretensioned concrete planks to span over submarine electrical corridor.
Marine environment required careful consideration of concrete durability and construction methods over water.
SCP Involvement:
SCP design used large amount of precast elements to reduce formwork costs over water and construction time.

Liverpool Railway Station

PROJECT:- LIVERPOOL RAILWAY STATION

PROJECT VALUE: $15 MILLION (Concourse building)
                            $5.5 MILLION (Transport interchange)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: New elevated railway concourse over main southern railway line incorporating passenger links to bus and rail platforms. The concourse structure was designed to accommodate the transport interchange and main southern railway line design requirements. While achieving the requirements of the authorities, SCP also incorporated the building form and finishes nominated by the architects The transport interchange included transport requirements for commuters using buses, taxis and private cars.

Malabar Sewerage Treatment Plant
PROVISION OF BIOSOLIDS STORAGE AND STABILISATION FACILITIES

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A new state of the art facility for lime stabilisation and storage of Biosolids from sewerage treatment.

structural steelwork for Stabilization building including roof mounted monorail post-tensioned jointless concrete floors to both Stabilization and Biosolids storage building for heavy plant and equipment  loads structural steelwork for Biosolids building including roof mounted conveyor supports structural steelwork for conveyors from Stabilisation building to Biosolids storage building miscellaneous steelwork for support of services

Newcastle Bus / Rail Interchange

PROJECT:- newcastle bus rail interchange – refurbishment of existing station buildings

PROJECT VALUE: $3.5 million (total project cost)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Refurbishment of two existing Heritage Buildings to provide facilities for Bus/Rail Commuters.

special features:
Removal of existing load bearing walls to provide large open spaces.
Replacing these walls with moment resisting structural steel frames to maintain resistance to earthquake loads.
Strengthening external cantilever walls by detailing new floor to wall connections.

RAILWAY STATION OAK FLATS

COMMUTER CARPARK, PADSTOW

 

PROJECT: Padstow Commuter Carpark

END CLIENT: Department of Transport

PROJECT VALUE: $4.0 Million

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 3 Storey split level carpark for Padstow Railway Commuters.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

*  Post tensioned split level carpark

*  2 column arrangement with bands perpendicular to piles and with

   4m cantilevers

*  Carpark designed to have an additional 2 levels.  Use of couplers

   at roof columns.

*  Watertight roof slab.

SCP INVOLVEMENT:

Full structural design of post tensioned carpark as well as full structural design of footing system to bridge existing sewer line passing through the middle of the carpark and co-ordination with RSA to ensure all design complied with train impact requirements.

Sydney Harbour Bridge Traffic Gantries

END CLIENT: New South Wales Department of Main Roads 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A  traffic control system using electronic lane indicators on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. 

special features:

Spans from 27 metres to 35 metres.
Varying support conditions under each trestle.
