ERINA FAIR EXPANSION

END CLIENT: Erina Fair Shooping Centre
PROJECT VALUE: $200 million
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: SCP Consulting was selected as the structural engineer by Bovis Lend Lease based on our ability to produce economical designs within tight construction programs. The Erina Fair Expansion was the biggest construction project undertaken by BLL in 2002 and 2003.
special features:
The project was divided into five segments based on staged opening of the new retail precinct.

gRAND CINEPLEX

END CLIENT: hoyts cinemas
project value: $80 million
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Three storey 13 Cinema Complex including retail specialty shops, theme clubs and separate motion base theme ride.
special features:

Two storey stacked cinema construction incorporating 20m span composite steel/concrete construction.
Entry Foyer includes 25m clear height glazed wall with 8m cantilever entry canopy.
Design of suspended concrete structure for motion base ride. Concrete slab was designed for dynamic loads and reduced acceleration response.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Three retail buildings between Bent Street and the Show Ring comprising of 
restaurants, bars and specialty shops.

A variety of architectural facade and roof forms
Conventionally reinforced suspended slabs allowing maximum versatility for retail tenants
Concrete framed mezzanine and plant room slabs

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Single four level Cinema Complex with attached two storey commercial office complex over on-grade retail outlets.
special features:-
Two suspended reinforced slabs, including large clear span to bio boxes over cinemas.
Conventional steel roof framing over Cinemas incorporating lightweight acoustic construction. Design of intricate façade to offices and major entry statement to cinemas.

PROJECT VALUE:
$60 Million
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A Combined Commercial/Retail/Residential Development Comprising 2 Levels of Parking, 2 Levels of Retail Shops and Restaurants and 10 Residential Unit Blocks of between 2 and 5 stories.
special features:

Post-tensioned concrete floor in car-parking and retail areas.
Unit blocks using "Ultrafloor" precast system on load-bearing masonry walls. Lower floors have reinforced block walls for earthquake resistance.
